Zealous for God, by D.Fotopoulos
As Orthodox Christians, we base our understanding of Holy Scripture on the writings of the Holy Fathers of the Church. God enlightened the Holy Fathers to interpret the many difficult parts of the Bible, but their writings are long and written in an archaic language. Most young people today thus find it difficult to read them.
That is why Zealous for God: Genesis was written: to give young people the opportunity to study both the Holy Scriptures and the beautiful interpretations provided by the Holy Fathers in a concise and interesting format.
While this book has been written with teenagers in mind, it can also be adapted for younger readers. A parent or teacher can easily pick and choose among the stories according to the child’s interest.
Adults, who would otherwise be unable to study Holy Scripture because of time-constraints or other obstacles, can also benefit from the concise but complete picture of the Bible contained in this book.
