Hungry Orthodox Christian Reader: The “Hidden” Writings of Orthodox Christianity
Publication Data: Chicago, IL: OLGA Press, 2015
Format: softcover
Number of Pages: x + 310
Dimensions (l × w × h): 21.5 cm × 14.1 cm × 1.9 cm
ISBN: 978‒0‒996641‒0‒5
“This Reader is not spiritual guidance but practical direction. It is less about what Orthodox believe and more about how Orthodox believe. Most important, it is about the sources currently available in English. This book should leave you unsatisfied, appetite whetted. It is intended to expose the hungry reader to various types of Orthodox nourishment and to provide a key to the pantry. At the end of each chapter is a note regarding its source as well as a box full of Miscellanea: books, specimens, oddments related (usually) to that particular topic or type of writing. Many of these Miscellanea include Parent Friendly tips for busy parents (or relatives or friends) who are concerned to pass on their Orthodoxy to their children. One may not be inspired by each and every article, but wherever one feels a special resonance would be a good place to launch into further study (and practice/praxis).”
